Checo Pérez Faces Investigations After Mexico GP

During the 2024 Mexican Grand Prix, Sergio 'Checo' Pérez was involved in two investigations due to incidents on the track. In a statement to El Financiero, Pérez expressed his frustration over a crash that ruined his race and mentioned that Fernando Alonso tried to speak with the other driver involved to prevent such maneuvers.

In the previous edition of the Mexican Grand Prix, in 2023, Pérez was forced to retire from the race on the first lap after crashing with Charles Leclerc. In the 2024 edition, the Mexican driver finished in 17th position after facing difficulties from the start of the weekend.

Additionally, Pérez blamed his car, the RB20, for his elimination in Q1. Despite starting in 18th position in the race, he managed to advance 5 places on the first lap before receiving a 5-second penalty for a false start and having a brush with another competitor on the track.

At the end of the race, 'Checo' Pérez shared his dissatisfaction with the incidents on the track and the lack of penalties towards other drivers. Despite the difficulties, Pérez showed determination to keep improving and fighting in the upcoming competitions.
